Nostalgia 2014 

REVIVE…… REJOICE……. REJUVENATE……

“Hopes are in planted friendship’s garden where dreams blossom into priceless treasures”.

The first ever Alumni meet…Nostalgia 2014…proved to be an occasion where the alumni gathered to get updated, to rejuvenate and to reconnect. To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the meet was inaugurated by the staff of Chief Secretary, Mr. Biswajeet Pegu on 12th January 2014 evening. The event started traditionally with a prayer dance and was followed by the lighting of lamp by the chief guest of the evening and other guests. The occasion was graced by 135 alumni ranging across various batches. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of SFS School in all walks/spheres of life. He praised their contribution and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and SFS School and current students.

The Inaugural session was also attended by the Guest of Honor Fr. Joseph Thazhathukunnel MSFS, Manager of SFS School, Mr. David Barman, Principal Indus School Academy, Mr. Mahesh Pradhan, Parents Representative of SFS School and faculty and staff members of our school.

The President of Alumni association, ALUMNUS, Abhay Tiwari welcomed the alumni in the campus and appreciated their zeal to assemble here. He also appreciated the alumni’s who have taken active participation in the sports events organized in the first day of the alumni meet. The vote of the thanks was given by Swapna Bhuyan, general secretary of Alumni association. The reunion brings us comfort and a sense of accomplishment, knowing the students have gone on to do so well. “It’s rewarding to know that these caring and productive individuals are our students.

The inaugural session was followed by cultural programme by our students and alumni with some more current dance forms and songs. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates, seniors and juniors. The alumni were also seen interacting with their teachers and sharing their past experiences. In all, the ambience was electric with alumni dancing with the beats of DJ Sam. The air was nostalgic… the music in the background ecstatic and the ambience, absolutely a toast to the party.

The Meet ended with a thanks giving to Mrs. Sangeeta Saha Barman and Mr. Baburam Sharma, the member of the organizing committee who headed the nostalgic event and a promise to meet again and everyone bid emotional farewell to each other and their beloved Fransalians.

The Second Alumni meet…Nostalgia 2016…proved to be an occasion where the alumni gathered to get updated, to rejuvenate and to reconnect. To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the meet was inaugurated by R.Chandranathan, IPS, ADGP, anti-corruption, Assam on 9th January 2016 evening. The event started traditionally with a prayer dance and was followed by the lighting of lamp by the chief guest of the evening and other guests. The occasion was graced by 110+ alumni ranging across various batches. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of SFS School in all walks/spheres of life. He praised their contribution and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and SFS School and current students.

The Inaugural session was also attended by the Guest of Honour Rev. Fr. Emmanuel (MSFS), Manager of SFS School and Fr.John Barman, Director/Fransalian Youth Mission, Ma’am Sangeeta Barman and Sir Baburam Sharma.
